Wild by name, wild by nature, these firm festival favourites, A.K.A the ‘hillbilly hurricane from Kansas City, Missouri’, make their first appearance at The Welfare!  Playing storming roots-of-country and old-time with rockabilly attitude, this white-hot four-piece deliver a hair raising fiddle / banjo / guitar / dobro / slap bass hoedown, playing music that’s infectious and smile-inducing. Their latest CD, ‘Someone’s Got To Pay’, produced by the legendary Dirk Powell, won the Best Alt.Country Album category in last year's Independent Music Awards, while the track, ‘Hey, Little Darlin’ carried off the Best Americana Song title in the same event.
